George Floyd's brother has said that President Joe Biden called him to tell him that he was praying for the family.
Philonise Floyd told "Today" on Tuesday, alongside the family attorney Ben Crump: "He knows how it is to lose a family member, and he knows the process of what we're going through. He was just letting us know he was praying for us."

Philonise Floyd's TV appearance came as the jury enters its second day of deliberations in Derek Chauvin's murder trial. Chauvin, the former Minneapolis police officer, faces charges of second-degree unintentional murder, third-degree murder and second-degree manslaughter in George Floyd's death last year.
